Build2Element ("we", "us", "our") operates the Build2Element web application and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

Account data

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

Usage data

We collect information about how you use the Service, including projects created, source URLs analyzed, and plan usage. This data is used to enforce plan limits and improve the Service.

Technical data

We may collect your IP address, browser type, and device information for security and abuse prevention purposes.

Payment data

Payment processing is handled by third-party providers. We do not store full card numbers or sensitive payment data on our servers.

We share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Hosting, database, and payment processors who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
• AI processing: If you use AI enhancement features, page layout data (not personal data) may be sent to OpenAI's API. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records for 7 years).

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Passwords hashed with bcrypt (cost factor 10)
• JWT tokens with 30-day expiry
• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• SQLite WAL mode with foreign key enforcement

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but take reasonable precautions to protect your data.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection: Object to certain types of processing.

8. Cookies

We use minimal cookies and local storage. See our Cookie Policy for full details. We use localStorage to store your authentication token. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
